The Directorate of Education in Homs launched a ministerial-scheduled training course for physics and mathematics teachers to activate educational means and laboratory equipment in line with the curricula developed in schools, with the participation of 48 teachers and schools.
And the Director of Education in Homs, Walid Maree, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the training focuses on the mechanism of activating educational aids because of their role in drawing students’ attention, establishing information and training on accurate skills and knowledge on how to invest and employ educational technologies, pointing out that the developed curricula are mainly based on integrating Technology in education and putting it at the service of the educational process according to modern methods of teaching.
In turn, the physics teacher in the Directorate of Education Nasr Rabie pointed out the necessity of experimental activities for some physical phenomena and training teachers on how to use educational aids and present them to students, pointing out that the course contributes to strengthening the experimental work applied to the curricula and activating it in a correct manner.
Coach Wael Hammad said that the course includes several training bags for physics and chemistry teachers, including the optical and mechanical bags, which include many experiments in the laws of picar, light reflection, chromatic interference, light analysis, parallel converging forces, and determining the center of gravity of the body, pointing out that teacher training contributes to linking the ideas found in The book is with reality and urges the student to think, conclude and activate his senses of sight, hearing and touch.
Asmaa Al-Awir said, “This course adds a lot of information and practical ideas for using the scientific equipment in the school laboratories, which leads to interaction and cooperation with students and achieving the required understanding.”
The teacher, Bashar Deeb, considered that the experimental practical lessons during the school year with students are very important because they are imprinted in the student's memory, which is what we need in our schools to deal with scientific subjects.
