Armenian music formed the title of the artistic evening hosted by the lecture hall of the Arab Cultural Center in Abu Rummaneh as part of the “Windows 5” series, in cooperation with the Directorate of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
The evening program included lyrical models with the voice of singer Marie Hospian, with the participation of musician Alain Murad on the Buzuq and Ramy Ibrahim, to rhythm with pieces that carried patriotic, emotional and emotional flirtation titles.
The journalist, Idris Murad, who supervised the evening, started his speech by talking about the history of Armenian music, which dates back nearly three thousand years, pointing out that it is distinguished by its beauty and its traditional special color and bears the hallmarks of the history of the Armenian people, which is full of vicissitudes and tragic events.
Idris stressed that despite the genocide that this security people were subjected to and the tragic events, he produced many songs related to songs, weddings, and various social occasions. The epic as well as the sacred religious songs called "Sharaghan".
Murad also referred to the history of the beginning of Armenian music, noting the important role of King Dikran II the Great (95/55 BC) in the emergence of Armenian national music, and he reviewed the story of several Armenian experiences such as the life of “Comidas”, the most famous musician who collected Armenian songs and presented research on them.
Murad referred to the massacres suffered by the Armenians, which caused a large migration of them and their settlement in other regions of the world, but they preserved their traditions.
Singer Marie Hospian spoke in a statement to SANA reporter about her beginning of Armenian singing with chants in churches, in addition to her participation in musical and lyrical evenings in a number of Syrian theaters, including the Opera House, Dummar Cultural Complex and Al-Azm Palace.
In a similar statement, the young bouzouki player Alan Murad pointed out the importance of the role of these evenings in documenting the heritage of the Syrian regions by presenting plays that relate to peoples, their customs and traditions.
