At the conclusion of the Fourth Conference on Cement Technology, the participants unanimously agreed on the necessity of developing the cement industry and providing it with modern technologies, wider investments and the necessary cadres to enable it to meet the needs of the reconstruction phase.
The participants called for pooling experiences to transfer knowledge to future generations across multiple disciplines, enhancing integration between the public and private cement sectors, and creating more incentives to encourage the private sector to enter the white cement industry than the incentives announced in the program to replace imports alternatives, and setting clear determinants for investment in the offered factories. To invest and present the problems of this industry to universities and research centers in order to find scientific and technical solutions to them.
During the last discussion session at the conference, the participants pointed to setting clear parameters for the specifications of the stored and produced cement, defining the responsibilities of the producing and storing agencies, encouraging investment in “pozzanine” for the production of cement or building materials, re-establishing training centers and qualifying cadres specialized in the cement industry, developing their curricula, and working on creating an information base on This industry is through networking and linking the university, research centers, and economic and production institutions to benefit from scientific research and apply it on the ground.
Minister of Industry Ziad Sabbagh, in a statement to reporters, stressed the importance of the conference in finding scientific ways to develop the cement industry and that the outcomes of the conference be applicable on the ground scientifically, technically and technically with the aim of developing this industry in the future for the public and private sectors and securing the requirements and needs of the reconstruction phase, noting that valuable information and working papers The good scientific, objective and technical momentum included in the conference is in the interest of this industry and the expansion of its fields to reach a product with excellent specifications and quality that serves all sectors.
The activities and work of the conference, which was organized by SimTech Group in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry, was launched yesterday at Al-Sham Hotel in Damascus with the participation of companies and businessmen from Syria and a number of Arab and friendly countries.
