(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 27 - The Ambassador of Italy in Beijing, Luca Ferrari, recently inaugurated an exhibition dedicated to Italian art, entitled "The Infinite Universe of Wuji: Masterpieces from the National Gallery of Modern Art eContemporanea di Roma ", open until 30 October 2022 at the World Art Museum in Beijing. The exhibition, organized in the framework of the Italy-China 2022 Year of Culture and Tourism, is an international project conceived by GNAM in Rome and produced by China Museum International for show the Chinese public one of the largest and most important collections of modern and contemporary art.
For the occasion, Ambassador Ferrari underlined how the Year of Culture and Tourism Italy-China has come to life with the inauguration in Beijing and China of several large Italian exhibitions, including that of Giorgio Morandi in Shanghai, "Wish You Were Here "by Maurizio Cattelan in Shenzhen, as well as" The Road to Baroque - Masterpieces from the CapodimonteMuseum "in Hong Kong.
"The presence of these exhibitions in China today - remarked Ferrari - confirms Italy's role as a cultural superpower and is proof of the variety of our artistic heritage and the importance of our museum institutions. In the exhibition 62 masterpieces are exhibited as part of an exhibition of Italian and European works.
Among these, the "Gardener" of VanGogh, as well as those of the great Italian masters AmedeoModigliani, Giorgio De Chirico, Giacomo Balla, Lucio Fontana, Alberto Burri.
There are also European artists such as Kandinskij, Picasso and Degas.
