Luis Suárez: preliminary agreement to return to Uruguayan football 0:56
(CNN Spanish) -
The Uruguayan star Luis Suárez announced this Tuesday through his social networks that he reached an agreement in principle to return to his roots: the National Club of Uruguay.
The announcement comes after weeks of uncertainty over Suárez's football future.
The goalscorer for the Uruguayan soccer team, considered one of the best strikers in the world, was released on July 1 after a two-season stint with Atlético de Madrid.
Although until now "details to reach an agreement" have yet to be finalized, according to the footballer, it is very likely that the Uruguayan star will return to the club where he was born.
