The number of ration seizures organized by the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Lattakia since the beginning of this year until now has reached 420 seizures in the field of ovens, accredited and fuel, and the total number of fines has reached more than 2.695 billion Syrian pounds.
According to a report issued by the Directorate, and a copy of which SANA received, 270 catering seizures were organized with various violations, including producing bad news, underweight bread bins for sale, lack of ration provisions, refraining from selling, soaking bread with water, illegally disposing of flour, trading in bread outside the smart card, and collecting cards. With the intention of trading and using ration bread for other than the intended purpose, the total fines for bakeries were more than 350 million Syrian pounds.
The number of seizures organized against the authorized persons reached 118 catering seizures for violations related to refraining from selling, violating the conditions of transporting bread, selling at an overpriced price, and trading in ration bread. The total fines of the authorized persons were 64 million pounds.
Also, 37 catering seizures were organized with various violations, such as illegal trafficking in diesel and gasoline, the presence of an electric circuit in the meter to manipulate the quantities sold, refraining from selling, the lack of the strategic reserve of the station, and the illegal disposal of gasoline and diesel. The total fines for fuel amounted to 2.280 billion pounds.
