The Russian Foreign Ministry denied receiving any requests from its American counterpart about contacts between Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his American counterpart Anthony Blinken.
The ministry said in a statement, according to Russia Today: "Moscow has not received requests from Washington regarding a phone call between Lavrov and Blinken," noting that regardless of media reports, there were no appeals regarding this matter.
