A day after the chairman of the Histadrut, Arnon Bar-David, called for a consumer boycott of importers Diplomat, Shastovitz and Kimberly Clark, who recently announced an increase in the prices of their products, the "Schelch" consumer club and "Schelch's pension fund", which is headed by the wife of Bar- David, is the first to implement the move.
The club, which belongs to the Histadrut, includes about 200,000 households that subscribe to the club's website in Israel.
Hila Kanister Bar-David, CEO of the club and, as mentioned, also the wife of the chairman of the Histadrut, said that the move was made as part of the fight against the cost of living: "We all need to fight together to create a better reality for us and our children. The clubs under my management will not sell the membership products, And we will promote other companies in the economy with the same products for less money."
"We have to fight together."

As I recall, Bar-David said yesterday that "the citizens of Israel are not prisoners of anyone".
According to him, "A company that gets back at the Israelis will have to deal with the consequences of its actions by the consumer boycott that we will implement against it. The celebration is over. Any company that takes advantage of the situation and raises prices disproportionately, we will go on their heads. I call on the citizens of Israel to stop buying the products theirs, and instead buy replacements in a smart way. I am appealing to the committees that these products will not be in their packages. Let's buy blue and white, stop the abuse."
The companies announced last week that they are raising their prices by an average rate of about 10%, in a move that was received with relative silence, which some see as legitimate in light of the increase in electricity, water and property taxes.
You should know that Diplomat is a public company traded on the stock exchange, which ended the first quarter with an increase of more than 28% in the net profit rate.
The company closed the year 2021 with a jump of more than 20% in net profit, and even announced the distribution of a dividend of NIS 24 million.
