What do Mexicans die of? These are the main causes, according to the Inegi

The covid-19 pandemic was one of the main causes of mortality for Mexicans during 2021, along with heart disease and diabetes.

But the problem is that almost half of the deaths are not related to diseases: in Mexico, a large number of people die from violence, mainly with firearms, and from accidents that could have been avoided, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Inegi).
