(ANSA) - NAPLES, 28 JULY - "In Australia there is a great interest in Italy. There are more than 500 thousand Italians, it is normal that a people who have contributed to the identity of the country is well appreciated".
Angelo Gioè, director of the Italian Cultural Institute in Melbourne, told ANSA on the sidelines of the conference in Naples.
What attracts young Australians the most is "contemporary art and everything related to contemporary, climate change, space. If we go into space, they ask, who will design it? Which designer will take care of it? How should we design it?" Gioè explained.
"We want to attract young people with events of a contemporary nature, but without forgetting the Renaissance and the Opera", he underlined.
