MK Israel Katz, MK Yaakov Litzman and MK Eidit Silman also came to the ceremony at the hospital.
The area of the new hospital will be 8,000 square meters, one of the largest in the world in terms of emergency rooms, and it will also include a short-term hospitalization department, emergency Psychiatric and acute room for sexual victims.
"An emergency room, by its very nature, is on the front line of medical treatment," President Yitzhak Herzog said at the ceremony.
"It is a showcase for every medical center. Even when we are inaugurating the largest and most sophisticated emergency room in Israel, one thing is clear beyond any doubt: the real advantage will be the emergency room personnel. I am convinced that it will provide an excellent medical response."

"Congratulations on the establishment of the largest emergency room in Israel, which will serve not only the residents of Tel Aviv. It integrates all the best of Israel - the doctors, the high-tech and the tradition that leaves no one behind. A model of coexistence that should inspire pride in every citizen of Israel. All of these are realized every day at home the patients and in the medical system.
"But even today, the cry that comes from the medical teams who deal with violence every day cannot be ignored," added Lapid. "I have instructed to take an iron hand against this rampant violence.
I pledge that we will support and encourage any proposal aimed at protecting you.
The doctors' blood will not be in vain."
