Mick Jagger, singer of the Rolling Stones, celebrated his 79th birthday in Düsseldorf - and received a visit from a Bavarian brass band.

Cologne – There are hardly any singers or entertainers who are still as fit at the age of 79 as Sir Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones, who was knighted in 2003.

And that not only applies to his work as a frontman on stage, but also to his life away from the big spotlight - whereby the cameras are always trained on him.

Instagram photos show him with a beer mug in a Munich beer garden, in front of a windmill in the Netherlands - or, on his birthday on July 26, 2022, in the Breidenbacher Hof in Düsseldorf, where he was able to enjoy a special serenade.

The picture was taken the day before the Rolling Stones concert in Gelsenkirchen (July 27).

"Thanks for all the birthday wishes!

I had a great day here in Düsseldorf," writes the stage veteran under a photo that shows him in the middle of an apparently Bavarian brass band, as reported by 24RHEIN.

In the background drums and trumpets are blown, the Brit is surrounded by two women in dirndls and two men in traditional costumes and chamois beards.

Appropriately, there are several stone jugs on the table.

Which suggests that the singer of classics like "Satisfaction", "Sympathy for the Devil" or "Jumpin' Jack Flash" received a proper birthday song from the band.

Probably as a little warm-up for the band's performance in Gelsenkirchen - even if fans shouldn't be prepared for too much brass music and should rather be prepared for rock'n'roll.

The photo is still extremely popular, receiving around 30,000 likes in the first nine hours after publication.

Mick Jagger's son Lucas also congratulated via Instagram, writing under the post "A very surprising night.

Happy Birthday Dad".

There was also a lot of activity in front of the hotel, hundreds of fans waited on Tuesday to catch a glimpse of their idol.

It is not known whether Jagger's bandmate and Stones guitarist Keith Richards was also involved in the serenade.

However, he may have taken it easy for today's performance.

After all, he's not the youngest anymore.
