Penzberg - The culture prize of the city of Penzberg goes this year to the youth group "lamp fever" of the Oberlandler Volkstheater.
In its meeting on May 31st, the city council decided behind closed doors to award the youth group “Stage Fright” at the Oberlandler Volkstheater.
This was announced by Thomas Sendl, head of the Communication/Culture/Economics department in the town hall, on Thursday (July 28).
"The committee thus honors the award winner's outstanding commitment in the areas of culture and tradition," says Sendl.
According to Sendl, other applicants were also on the list of proposals, but he does not name them.
The award ceremony is on Friday, October 21, in the Stadthalle.
With "Stage Fright" we come full circle: In 1999, the Oberlandler Volkstheater, together with the children's book author and "Urmel" inventor Max Kruse, was the city's first cultural award winner.
The prize is awarded every two years.
In 2020 it went to Dr.
Johannes Bauer and Prof. Dr.
Reinhard Heydenreuter.
