The celebration, organized by the Directorate of Culture in Al-Hasakah to celebrate the International Children's Day, included a variety of activities that included an art exhibition, lyrical and musical performances, and a dialogue session with children.
The Director of Culture, Abdul Rahman Al-Sayed, said in a statement to SANA reporter that today’s celebration included an art exhibition for children’s drawings, which included artworks from the art workshops during the past three weeks, and a concert for the life skills team, Nagham and Qalam Center for Learning, in addition to organizing a dialogue session to inform children of their rights according to Syrian law.
The art school, Jamila Bakro, supervising the exhibition, explained that it included 200 drawings, which are the product of 50 children and adolescents who participated in art workshops within the life skills project for all age groups from seven to eighteen years old. There are many topics drawn by children, including patriotism, life, school, nature and people.
Artist Yahya Abdel-Jabbar pointed out that the children participating in the artistic ceremony, with promising talents, took to the stage for the first time to present groups of national and heritage songs that they trained on within the life skills project.
