"The Sandman"

Perhaps a world that all of us on Earth have in common is that of dreams.

Precisely what happens there, that meeting with Morpheus, is the basis of the story of "The Sandman", a series of 10 episodes lasting one hour each.

"There is another world that awaits us all when we close our eyes and sleep, a place called the

Dreaming

, where

The Sandman

, Master of Dreams (Tom Sturridge), gives form to all our deepest fears and fantasies. But when

Dream

is captured unexpectedly and held prisoner for a century, his absence triggers a series of events that will forever change both the dream world and the waking world. To restore order,

Dream

must travel through different worlds and timelines to repair the mistakes he has made during his vast existence, revisiting old friends and enemies, and meeting new entities, both cosmic and human, along the way," according to Netflix.

The production is based on the DC Comics novel "The Sandman," written by Neil Gaiman.

"Clusterf**k: Woodstock '99"

Lovers of music and massive festivals will learn the chaotic history of the festival that was organized in 1999 to celebrate thirty years of Woodstock.

Netflix brings to its platform the three-episode documentary series in which they will show how an event that celebrated peace and love ended in riots, fire and chaos.

"Woodstock '99 was supposed to be a millennium-defining celebration of peace, love, and great music. Instead, the festival degenerated into an epic train wreck of fires, riots, and destruction. Using insider footage and eyewitness interviews with a impressive roster of festival staff, artists and attendees, this docu-series goes behind the scenes to reveal the egos, greed and music that fueled three days of utter chaos," Netflix says of the production.

The documentary series premieres on August 3.

South Korea always ends up surprising with its fabulous and intriguing stories.

"Two months after a deadly pandemic originating in the DMZ (demilitarized zone between North and South Korea) has devastated the US and North Korea, Carter wakes up with no memory of his past. In his head is a device mysterious, and in his mouth, a lethal bomb. A strange voice in his ears gives him orders. The bomb may explode at any moment, unless he rescues the girl who is the only antidote to the virus. But the CIA and a coup in North Korea are hot on his heels," Netflix says of the film.

Premieres August 2022 on HBO Max

"House of Dragons"

This is perhaps the streaming premiere that will give the most talk in August.

And it is that on August 21 "House of Dragon" arrives on the screens of HBO Max, a prequel to his successful series "Game of Thrones".

The 10-episode series is based on the book "Fire & Blood" by George RR Martin.

The production will narrate the history of the Targaryens and the events take place 200 years before what we saw in "Game of Thrones".

For those who can't wait and want to start immersing themselves in history, then they should tune in to HBO Max's original podcast "The Official Games of Thrones Podcast: House of Dragon", where you can listen to interviews with George RR Martin, part of the cast of the series and other surprises.

"ThePrincess"

If there is a story that captivates and attracts audiences of different generations, it is that of Princess Diana, mother of Princes William and Harry.

And her life comes to the screens of HBO Max through the documentary "The Princess".

The production is a "visceral immersion into Diana's life in the constant and often intrusive glare of the media spotlight. The film takes place as if in the present, allowing viewers to experience overwhelming adoration, but also the intense scrutiny of Diana's every move and the constant judgment of her character. Through archival footage, the film is also a reflection of the society of the time, revealing the audience's own concerns, fears, aspirations and desires," HBO shared through a statement.

The documentary tape premieres on Saturday, August 13, on what will be the 25th anniversary of Lady Di's death.

HBO Max is owned by Warner Bros. Discovery, the parent company of CNN.
