The city of Germering will continue to grant a labor market allowance to the staff of its day-care centers for the next two years.
Germering – The members of the main committee decided this unanimously and without discussion.
The additional money has been there for eight years.
The allowance was introduced as part of the personnel recruitment concept and has since been introduced for a limited period of two years and has always been extended.
The design has changed a lot since then.
However, the staff situation has not necessarily improved.
On the contrary.
Treasurer René Mronzc reports at the meeting that the city is now having problems finding skilled workers in all areas.
Mroncz: "We must do everything to change this.
The allowance was and is a good thing.”
(
By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular
FFB newsletter.)
Social Welfare Manager Martin Rattenberger reported that the city is unlikely to gain any new skilled workers with the allowance.
But at least you can make sure that the existing educators and nannies don’t go away.
According to Rattenberger, the city also included childcare workers in the recipient group because there was also a shortage of jobs.
In addition, nannies are not among the skilled workers like educators.
However, they would often qualify as specialists through further training.
The labor market allowance is paid out as a lump sum: lower salary groups receive 100 euros per month, higher 150 euros on top of the salary.
