The Palestinian education system activated a digital system this year, and each student received an official written message directly to his cell phone with his grade point average.
Tens of thousands of students and their families waited alertly in front of their phone screens at nine o'clock in the morning, when the long-awaited message was sent.
Celebrations broke out in the territories when the results were announced.
Fireworks were shot everywhere.
Young men and women went out in convoys of vehicles and honked horns for joy.
Dancing, music and shouts of joy were seen in the streets.
Bakeries and shops selling sweets worked overtime to satisfy the high demand of the Shaminist families who completed 12 years of schooling this year.
Palestinian Authority policemen were deployed on the roads to prevent live fire in the air.
In one of the videos from Hebron, police officers are seen resolutely raiding a vehicle from which a shot was fired, confiscating weapons.
