Sponsors give money for each completed lap
Before the run, the children looked for sponsors in their family or circle of acquaintances, who would give a sum of money for each lap they ran.
"It doesn't matter how much money the sponsors donate per lap," explains organizer Hanno Fröhlich.
"There are no limits here."
Money in favor of the Burkina Faso association of the Gabriel-von-Seidl-Gymnasium
The money collected will benefit the high school's Burkina Faso association, explains Fröhlich.
The association has existed since 1995. "We use this to finance the construction of new schools." So far, the association has been able to build five schools.
"At the moment the number of refugees in Burkina Faso is very high," says the organizer.
“The classrooms are bursting at the seams.
That is why the money should be used to expand schools.”
Ukrainian Welcome Class managed the most rounds
The most successful class in the charity run was the Ukrainian welcome class with an average of six laps.
This is followed by classes 5d with 5.6 laps, 5c (5.5 laps) and 6e (5.2 laps).
