Schliersee – At its most recent meeting, the Schliersee building committee flatly rejected an application to change the use of a storage hut to staff accommodation for the Obere Maxlrainer Alm.
"I think we can make that relatively short," said Mayor Franz Schnitzenbaumer (CSU) when introducing the item on the agenda.
"It's an outdoor theme.
A change of use from the garage building and covered parking space to the staff apartment outside is not possible." Horst Teckhaus (PWG) added: "Especially since the whole story is not yet sealed." The other members of the building committee also agreed and refused the application unanimously the community agreement.
As reported, the Alm at an altitude of 1520 meters below the Taubenstein, where a fire broke out in February 2020, has already occupied the construction committee several times.
After owner Matthias Schmidlin met with little approval from the committee at the beginning of 2019 with his expansion plans to 180 beds, in 2021 a narrow majority finally voted for an expansion and conversion - only a little later "a little alternative facts" (Greens councilor Gerhard Waas) regarding the path concept and to complain about parking spaces.
The panel wanted to avoid a tourist hotspot.
