Under the direction of President Lieutenant General Bashar al-Assad, Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Armed Forces, and in the presence of General Abdel Karim Ibrahim, Chief of the General Staff, and General Alexander Chaiko, commander of the Russian forces operating in Syria, and a number of senior officers of the Syrian and Russian armies, one of the formations of our armed forces, in cooperation with the Russian forces operating in Syria, was implemented. An operational tactical project with live ammunition, in which various types of ground, air, and naval forces, as well as types of forces and specialized forces, participated in conditions that mimic the nature of the real battle.
The commander of the executing forces gave a detailed explanation on the map of the idea of the battle, which included the attack on the enemy's fortified points, with the storming of a water barrier from the movement to reach the opposite bank and liberate it.
After the end of the fire preparation, in which the warplanes, fire support helicopters, ground / ground operational missiles, artillery, rocket launchers and other firepowers participated, the attack began. .
After that, special mission groups crossed the lake, where the enemy's fortified points were destroyed on the other bank and on the islands within the lake. Engineering units also advanced and bridges were erected over the crossings destroyed by the enemy to impede the progress of our forces.
Concentrated air strikes were directed from warplanes and surface-to-surface missiles, and the complex fire-effect system was planned, which led to the destruction of the hostile media and the fire coverage for the progress of our attacking forces. Then the tanks crossed the watery fords and reached the crossings and were captured and occupied the bridgeheads to secure the involvement of the main forces by the method of successive engagement of the forces And holding on to the liberated positions and strengthening them in order to spare the forces losses and push the enemy to launch a counterattack to destroy its reserves.
The project also included the participation of various types of warplanes, which had a fiery effect on hostile missile launch bases, enemy reserves in the rear, its second coordination and headquarters, in addition to the fire support helicopters supporting the attacking forces, destroying hostile landings, securing friendly air landings and supporting their progress.
The project also included airdrops on the opposite bank and on some islands inside the lake, displaying equipment from helicopters, parachuting under heavy fire coverage, evacuating the wounded and prisoners from the water by helicopters, and conducting search and rescue operations.
Our forces were subjected to a supposedly hostile counterattack and heavy throwing by the enemy with various means of fire, as our forces were able to repel the hostile attack and inflict heavy losses on the enemy that forced him to retreat and withdraw. All goals are planned.
In conclusion, the Chief of the General Staff conducted a comprehensive evaluation of all phases of the project and thanked all the participating commanders for their efforts in making this project a success, and praised the skill and efficiency shown by the officers and fighters in carrying out the tasks within the specified time, stressing the importance of these projects, especially at this stage in enhancing the capabilities and capabilities of Our armed forces and to maintain their high combat readiness that enables them to carry out the duties assigned to them at every time and place.
General Ibrahim affirmed that Syria al-Iba, under the leadership of President General Bashar al-Assad, is determined to follow the march of achievements and victories, to continue its confrontation with aggression, and to liberate every inch of its land from all terrorism and occupation.
