A tourist photographs sleeping sea lions on the beach in San Diego.
She gets so close to the animals that they lose their patience.
Hot sand, the sound of the sea and seagulls circling in the air, calling loudly.
Every year thousands of people come to the beach.
And thus in a habitat on which many animals are dependent.
Sea lions are also at home there.
Especially on the beaches of the west coast of America.
If tourists share the beach with the animals, it is usually peaceful.
But sometimes there are conflicts.
Like in San Diego, where sea lions lost patience because a tourist wanted to take a selfie.

Animals also want their privacy and to be treated with respect.

Imagine you are lying on the beach, taking a nap in the sun and suddenly someone stranger comes, lies very close to you and then wants to take a selfie with you without being asked.
It's not possible!
Or?
Privacy is clearly violated in this example.
Keeping a respectful distance is not only a polite rule of conduct among people, but should also be observed towards animals - especially wild animals.
Certain rules of conduct also apply to encounters with bears.

But because people often lose respect for animals and increasingly overstep boundaries, conflicts keep coming up.
The hunt for the perfect and extraordinary photo is particularly often fatal.
Just like for several beach visitors in San Diego who have to flee from two sea lions.
And that's only because a tourist came too close to the sleeping animals, as "

People run away, making way for the animals as best they can on the crowded beach.
