The activities of the 10th Al-Dilba Forum for Culture and Arts were launched today in Mashta Al-Helou in Tartous Governorate, which is organized by civil, expatriate and economic bodies under the title “Syrian Women”.

The head of the Mashta al-Helou municipal council and the administrative supervisor of the festival, Joseph Eid, told SANA reporter that the festival constitutes an important opportunity to promote tourism, cultural and artistic activity, explaining that the sculpture forum was held on the western road in the town, which is one of the most important and most beautiful tourist places due to its charming view and a unique location in the area. .

Eid explained that the products of the Sculpture Forum will be used to beautify the entrance to the town from the Tartous side to add a tourist and aesthetic value to the area, pointing out that all facilities and assistance have been provided to make this festival a success.

The general supervisor of the forum, Lawyer Wael Sabbagh, explained that the people of Mashta al-Helou used to meet their guests, artists, musicians and others under the tree that incubates their memory and is present in their hearts every year to create a space for dialogue and acquaintance, which in turn forms a state of love, passion and beauty that they need permanently.

Sabbagh pointed out that what distinguishes this year's festival is that a variety of purposeful events and forums will be held, explaining that the reason for calling it “Syrian Women” is after the Syrian woman who was and still is an example of courage and ambition and an honorable and bright image throughout history and in various areas of life.

The sculptor Alaa Muhammad, the artistic supervisor of the festival, stated that a group of sculptors from different Syrian governorates was chosen to participate in the forum, pointing out that rocks from Mashta al-Helou were used, and new works of various heights and sizes will be presented based on the size of the space in which these works will be placed.

Both sculptors participating in the forum, Abi Hatoum from Lattakia and Iyad Bilal from Homs, pointed out the importance of their meetings with artists from different schools at the festival, as it constitutes an opportunity for cooperation and the formation of beautiful sculptures from hard rock that are very accurate and perfect.

It is noteworthy that the forum continues until the fifth of August and includes morning and evening activities, including the plastic painting forum, the mosaic workshop, in which the face of Julia Domna and a marathon of different age groups will be formed, as well as musical and theatrical activities, sports performances and others.
