Hot, getting hot, lost • A new survey states: 73% reported that their children were locked out of the house as a result of losing or forgetting keys • The solutions: opening a door with an app or a fingerprint

The summer season is characterized by trips for vacations, but also quite a few children who do not have organized frameworks and who spend most of the day outside the home.

Summer is also the season when children lose or forget the keys to the house the most and lock themselves outside - according to a survey carried out by the "Rav Barih" group in collaboration with the Geocartography Institute, on the topic of losing keys among children.

This survey was carried out among all sectors.

According to the survey, 73% reported that their children were locked out of the house as a result of losing or forgetting the keys.

50% of the parents of school-age children stated that one or more of their children lost the keys to the house door.

In addition to this, the rate of losing keys in the last two years is 10% higher among children aged 12 and over, compared to 53% of parents who claimed that at least once or more one of their children lost the keys to the main door of the house.

The survey also shows that the frequency with which the children were locked out of the house - because they forgot or lost keys - increases with age.

As a direct result of this, 71% of the parents had to leave work or call a family member to open the door for their child.

About 63% of the parents reported that they do not usually leave keys in a hiding place near the house, probably for fear of burglary and a feeling of insecurity.

According to Omer Yatir, CEO of the "Rav Barih" locking company: "Forgetting keys among children is a well-known problem that has existed for years.

Rav-Barih offers smart and convenient solutions that are also suitable for children aged 9 and older.

These are options for opening the front door to the house by an application or by fingerprint.

There is no need to fear a remote break-in, the smart doors have safe and reliable mechanisms, the doors have a patented cylinder, including rechargeable batteries with a long lifespan."
