Train services in Britain have stopped today due to a strike by its employees.
Reuters reported that train traffic on about a quarter of Britain's rail network was halted with a 24-hour strike by about 5,000 workers organized by the ASLIF railway drivers' union.
The strike is the second of its kind this week, as all flights operated by seven of the 34 train operators, including the regional networks of the southeast and east of the country, as well as the long-distance lines connecting London to the southwest, northeast and Edinburgh, have been cancelled.
The train drivers' union plans to organize another one-day strike on the 13th of next month to demand a wage hike.
