The Directorate of Culture in Homs organized a variety of activities in the environmental garden in the Shammas neighborhood as part of the celebration of the International Children’s Day “Small Hearts for a Big Nation” held by the Ministry of Culture in several governorates in conjunction with the launch of the national campaign to introduce the Child Protection Law, which will continue until the third of next month.
The celebration kicked off with a cycling track in cooperation with the National Cycling Team, in which dozens of children, youth and team members participated.
The head of the children's department in the Homs Culture Directorate, Saba Wassouf, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the bicycles carried slogans of children's rights in order to familiarize the audience with them, emphasize their importance and raise awareness about them, pointing out that children from the temporary residence center in Deir Baalbah and children with disabilities participated in the celebration today.

In turn, cyclist Omar Shahoud of the Homs national cycling team pointed out the importance of supporting children in various activities, especially sports, for their physical and psychological role and their important impact on them.
The celebration included a gymnastics show for the Life Skills team and performances by Happy Magic Band, which was said by Saeed Towatli, the band's manager, that it was a variety of juggling games, clowns and cartoon characters that drew a smile on the faces of the children and made them happy.
The Syrian Club for Children and Young People "Sernay" participated in a puppet theater segment that carried purposeful human values and messages related to children's rights.
In the same garden, the artist Ahmed Al-Ali organized a drawing workshop, in which several children participated, who embodied a variety of topics through their drawings.
