The attack in Givat Shmuel - Bnei Brak:
The Tel Aviv District Attorney's Office (Criminal) submitted to the district court in the city an indictment against Ahmed Rashdan (33) from Judea and Samaria, who attacked Rabbi Yitzhak Dahan on the bridge between Givat Shmuel and Bnei Brak with a concrete pavement. The terrorist is accused of an act of terrorism of attempted murder and of serious injury under aggravating circumstances: "He spotted a man of Jewish origin, and hit him hard on the head."
The indictment submitted by attorney Noa Bar indicates that the accused decided to murder a person of Jewish origin, for a nationalist-ideological motive, with the aim of inciting fear or panic in the public. About two days before the incident, the accused arrived in the early hours of the morning at the bridge connecting Givat Shmuel to Bnei Brak, to examine whether The place is suitable for the realization of his plan, the next day he returned to the place but decided that the time was not suitable for carrying out the act.

On the day of the attack, the defendant arrived at the scene, took a concrete floor and put it in the bag he was holding, then he noticed a person walking by and concluded that it was a person of Jewish origin, a few seconds after he passed him, the terrorist took out the concrete floor and hit Rabbi Yitzhak Dahan with it on the head.
From the force of the blow, Rabbi Dahan fell and began to bleed from his head.
At this point, the terrorist threw the concrete floor out of his hands and began to flee the scene.
As a result of the accused's actions, the victim suffered serious injuries including two skull fractures, cerebral bleeding and hearing loss.
Before the defendant left to carry out his plan, he left a letter at his home for his family members, in which he wrote, among other things, that he must live or die because of hatred of Jews, and that he responded to the call of jihad.
In the request to extend the defendant's detention until the end of the proceedings, Attorney Bar stated: "The respondent entered Israel with the aim of murdering a person of Jewish origin, on a nationalistic-ideological background, and thus attacked the complainant, an innocent person, whose only sin was that he was on his way to pray in the synagogue, with a strong blow in his head, using cold weapons, without any provocation on his part."
