A serious accident in Lower Franconia claimed two lives on Sunday.
Two motorcyclists collided in a dense forest area.
Burgreppach –
The spokesman for the BRK Haßberge speaks of a "tragic accident".
On Sunday morning (July 31), two motorcyclists lost their lives.
According to the police, a group of seven bikers was coming from Hohenhausen on the local road towards Königsberg in Bavaria.
There they were met by a motorcyclist on a KTM.
The KTM rider collided head-on with the fourth bike in the group.
Why is still unclear.

"Both drivers were torn from their machines by the collision and came to rest a few meters further on the road and on the embankment," the police said.
The 68-year-old Honda driver from Coburg and the 51-year-old KTM driver suffered life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision.
Despite immediate resuscitation measures by the first responders, both bikers died at the scene of the accident.
According to the spokesman for the BRK, the helpers and bikers who witnessed the accident were looked after by the crisis intervention team in order to be able to process the "bad pictures".

Both machines were totaled as a result of the collision.
One of the motorcycles had to be lifted out of the embankment using a crane, police said.
The police inspection in Ebern took over the investigation into the cause of the accident, which is supported by an expert.
The local road remained completely closed for the duration of the accident investigation.
