An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale hit Bhojpur district in eastern Nepal today.
The quake hit 27 km west of Bhojpur at a depth of 10 km at latitude 27.1983 degrees north and longitude 86.7663 degrees east, Chinese news agency Xinhua quoted the US Geological Survey as saying.
It is noteworthy that a devastating earthquake struck Nepal in 2015, killing nine thousand people.
