The Friends of the Environment Association in As-Suwayda organized this evening a recreational event for children and the elderly at the headquarters of the Social Welfare Association (Orphan's House), which included sports, cultural and artistic activities.
The head of the Friends of the Environment Association, Eng. Turki Abu Saab, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the event stems from the social responsibility towards the home’s inmates, children and the elderly, to draw a smile and joy on their faces and to confirm the community’s interest in them.
While Iqbal Al-Atallah from the Friends of the Environment Association pointed out that the participation confirms the importance of providing support and assistance to the children of the home, by presenting sports and artistic paragraphs that bring happiness and joy to their hearts.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Social Welfare Society Salim Ghanem indicated that the event contributes to enhancing orphan children's sense of support and assistance, pointing out that the home provides health care, education and psychological support to the home's guests, whose number exceeds 105.
