MK Michal Shir, who was considered one of the closest to Tikva Hadada chairman Gideon Sa'ar, announced that she is moving to Lish Atid, the party of Prime Minister Yair Lapid.

Shir is the second withdrawer from New Tikva in three days.

She was preceded by MK Benny Begin who announced that he would not run for the next Knesset. As a result of the union between New Tikva and Blue and White, Shir would have been relegated to an unrealistic place on the list, and in Bish Atid it is said that her place has not yet been determined - but that she will be placed on the list in a realistic place.

Shir began Her political path was in the Likud and she was elected to the Knesset for the first time in December 2019 with the support of Sa'ar. A year later she left the Likud with him for a new hope. At the end of 2020, Shir was also one of the MKs who overthrew the Netanyahu-Ganz government in what became known as "the night of the parking lots".
