Important results achieved by the voluntary virtual educational initiative (for them, hand in hand) in distance learning as a complement to the efforts of the Ministry of Education to compensate for educational loss in an atmosphere of competition in virtual halls and self-reliance in obtaining information, continuing the study of students and developing their talents.

The initiative, which included educators, teachers, teachers, students and parents from most of the governorates, depends on the (WhatsApp) and (Telegram) applications and targeted students in the basic and secondary education and kindergarten stages and has several stages throughout the year and currently it has reached the eighth stage under the slogan (I learn and innovate).

Regarding Homs Governorate, a number of members of the team that joined the initiative spoke to SANA reporter about their experience, where the student, Ghadi Al-Duraei, from the ninth grade at the Martyr Muhammad Ali Khaznadar School, said, “I joined the initiative with the subject of national education and benefited a lot from the information, which boosted my confidence in myself.” Martyr Bassam Ahmed Al-Masry School indicated that her teacher encouraged her and involved her in useful and enjoyable activities by making use of social media.

While the initiative raised the educational level of the student, Tala Al-Shami, from the fifth grade of the Martyr Nabil Takla School, and she made new friends from other governorates. The student, Sally Habous, from the fourth grade at the Martyr Rajab Orabi School, expressed her happiness to join the initiative and the way to obtain information on her own.

The student, Marwa Azron, from the fifth grade of Abu Musa Al-Ash’ari School, stated that she liked the initiative because it increased her scientific knowledge, while her mother pointed out its importance as it opens the space for parents to be present with their children in the virtual halls and to know their level in cooperation with teachers.

The school Fatima Takla, who is part of the main work team, pointed out the importance of the initiative in terms of its continuity and comprehensiveness for all educational levels under the supervision of a group of specialized mentors and in an atmosphere of interaction between students, teachers and parents. Motherland.

The educational director, Faten Ali, from the Supervisory Committee, confirmed that the initiative enabled many educational cadres who love voluntary work to join and contribute to the strengthening of students and pupils at all educational levels for free and in the easiest way.

The initiative, which was established by the educational director, Rawda Ibrahim, from Latakia Education and its general supervisor, came under the conditions of suspension of school hours imposed by the precautionary measures to address the Corona virus in 2020, in order to compensate for the educational loss, and nearly 2,000 students and students and 50 teachers and teachers from all governorates joined it.
