The trouble for Amber Heard keeps coming.
After the publicized loss in the trial against her ex-husband Johnny Depp, in which it was ruled that she must pay him 10 million dollars, Heard turns to the legal courts and requests to declare bankruptcy.
As soon as the verdict was announced, Heard's lawyers wanted to emphasize that the actress is unable to meet the amount of the payment that she must transfer to her ex-husband.
Herd, for her part, tried to appeal the verdict and try to get it annulled or at least reduced, claiming that there was a flaw in the legal process that was conducted.
Unfortunately for her, her claim was not accepted in court and on top of that, her insurance companies refuse to cover her legal expenses.
Now, as mentioned, in an almost desperate last attempt, Heard is turning to the bankruptcy channel with a request that she submitted to the court in Virginia on July 20.
"The verdict speaks for itself," Depp said after the news about the bankruptcy petition began to be published on the networks.
"Mr. Depp believes that both parties should get on with their lives and get back on their feet. Nevertheless, if Mrs. Heard insists on continuing legal battles and challenging the verdict, Mr. Depp will file a counterclaim to make sure that the Court of Appeals will take into account all the relevant legal matters."
