An Israeli citizen was robbed today (Sunday) after stopping to do some shopping in the village of Ezon in Samaria.
The complainant stopped his vehicle and at this point a suspect arrived, forced him out of the vehicle and fled into the village.
Military and police forces began searching for the suspect and the complainant was taken out of the village by a military force. The Israel Police stated that "entering area A is prohibited by law and constitutes a danger."
A growing phenomenon
As mentioned, in the article published in April, many Israelis enter Areas A and B to shop, trade, repair their cars, dine in restaurants and cafes, and more.
And this, despite the enormous risk involved, due to the high cost of living in Israel and the dramatically cheap prices in Palestinian stores.
"I earn thousands of shekels a year just for the diesel, which is sold 40-50 percent less than ours, and that's without even counting the huge difference in basic grocery products," says N., a resident of Jerusalem who usually goes to the villages around the capital to buy fuel and various products .
