The Directorate of Culture in Deir ez-Zor organized a variety of activities within the celebration of the International Children’s Day entitled “Small Hearts for a Big Nation”, which is being held by the Ministry of Culture in several governorates in conjunction with the launch of the national campaign to introduce the Child Protection Law, which will continue until the third of next month.
The Director of Culture in Deir ez-Zor Ahmed Al-Ali told SANA reporter that the event included an exhibition of drawing, calligraphy and handicrafts produced by children in the life skills project implemented by the directorate, a reading and storytelling workshop for young people, and a display of various paragraphs presented by a group of children with disabilities and a theatrical show of shadow imagination entitled Nora the Arrogant and a play For children entitled The Farm of Happiness, in addition to folk, artistic and musical arts.
Al-Ali pointed out the importance of the child's culture, given that children are the basic building block in building society and the necessity of building them cognitively and psychologically, especially after the years of the terrorist war on Syria.
A number of children expressed their happiness to participate in these events, which gave them the opportunity to express their talents.
