China holds an event for a number of international media to spread the country's culture

As part of its media plan to spread the culture of its country around the world, the Chinese government invited a number of international media outlets, including the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), to participate in a cultural and tourism event under the title (Discover Shandong).

The opening ceremony of the event, organized by the Chinese government in cooperation with the CRI Online media agency, was held at the Jining City Museum in Shandong Province, in the presence of a number of Chinese state officials and the media sector.

The 3-day event provided a new platform to enhance international communication, allowing the invited foreign media to learn about the historical and cultural development of Jining and help convey the city's image globally as the most important cultural center.

The first day of the event included a visit by a tourist group consisting of a number of journalists, experts and influencers from around the world to the new Jining Museum, distinguished by its modern architectural design, and the Museum of the Five Families of the Han Chinese Dynasty, while the second day witnessed a visit to the birthplace of Confucius and an exhibition of cultural heritage.

On its third day, the event concluded with a visit to the Confucius Family Palace and the Confucius School, where students received philosophical and moral teachings.

The city of Jining in Shandong is known as the birthplace of the Chinese philosopher Confucius. It is also the capital and cultural hub of China's great canals. This city has the advantage of providing an important window for many foreign visitors to learn about the deep history of China. Jining is set to become a center for global multi-civilization exchanges.
