The Copa América Femenina, the most important tournament for teams in the category in South America, reached its final stretch.

The final of the 2022 edition will feature Colombia (which is the host country) and Brazil.

Colombia reached the semifinals of the Copa América undefeated.

They won their four games in Group A against Paraguay, Chile, Ecuador and Bolivia, thus adding 12 points with 13 goals for and just 3 against.

In the semifinal they defeated Argentina 1-0.

Brazil arrived from matchday four after beating Venezuela 4-0, for which they played their last Group B game as first place and without much qualifying pressure.

In the semifinal they beat Paraguay this Tuesday.

By reaching the final, Colombia and Brazil also secure qualification for the 2023 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand and the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Meanwhile, on Friday the match for third place was played.

Argentina beat Paraguay 3-1 to secure its entry to the 2024 Paris Olympics.
