Officially there is no folk festival in the upper Ilmtal, but the traditional festival week of TSV Hilgertshausen definitely has a folk festival character.
Hilgertshausen – The large beer tent in Hilgertshausen was always well attended, the amusement park for children with swing boats, children's carousel and shooting gallery was very popular.
At the large sweets stand on the fairground in front of the TSV stadium, the grown-ups were also happy to be spoiled with roasted almonds and Italian ice cream specialties.

Mayor Markus Hertlein tapped the beer with two strong taps, not a drop was lost.
The Langenpettenbach brass band, which has always played on the day of companies and clubs since the first festival in 1977 to mark the club's 50th anniversary, responded to Hertlein's "Ozapft is" with the Bavarian parade march.
After two years of the Corona forced break, it was finally possible to celebrate again.
Almost 200 men and women voluntarily took on the hospitality of the many guests, they carried beer mugs, stood at the grill or behind the bar. Both club boss Hans Pröbstl and Mayor Hertlein, his predecessor, the two former mayors Hermann Zanker and Hans Kornprobst, had also come.

In the following days all hell broke loose in the marquee.
On Saturday "Zruck zu Dir", a party band from the Hallertau region, and then on Sunday the mood band "High Fly" delighted young and old.
On the TSV sports facilities, there was also plenty of sport on all days: Among other things, there was football from the F youth to the 1st team, two tennis tournaments, the 14th Hilgertshausen beach volleyball tournament and the 11th Oberilmtal Hill Run.
The TSV also offered the children a colorful hustle and bustle around the play mobile.
There will be a separate report on the big procession and the results of the sporting competitions.
