ANALYSIS – On the plane returning from Canada, François assured that “the door (was) open”. But he said he didn't think about that possibility.

It is traditional for the pope to give a press conference on the plane after returning from his travels.

A dozen questions are asked by the 70 international journalists accompanying him.

The duration of the interview varies according to the flight time, from about ten minutes to more than an hour.

On his return from Canada, on the night of Friday to last Saturday, the question of the resignation was posed directly to the pope, twice.
