Dakar, SANA- About seven million Senegalese went to the polls today to cast their votes in the legislative elections

Dakar-Sana

About seven million Senegalese went to the polls today to cast their votes in legislative elections that will be a test after the local elections that took place last March.

According to Agence France-Presse, Senegalese will elect members of the unicameral parliament, which includes 165 deputies, for a five-year term.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, which oversees the vote, has deployed about 22,000 observers across the country, as are observers from the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
