The Israel Police is preparing with increased forces for the funeral procession of the Chabad of the ultra-Orthodox community in Jerusalem, Rabbi Yitzhak Tovia Weiss ztzel, who died during Shabbat.
The funeral procession is expected to take place today (Sunday) around 10:00 in the morning, and later in the early afternoon from his home in Givat Moshe Reglit through the neighborhood of Mea Shearim, Sultan Suleiman, Rockefeller to the Mount of Olives cemetery in Jerusalem.

Due to the expected roadblocks in the area of the funeral procession, there may be traffic congestion and drivers will be directed to alternative routes.
The driving public is asked to avoid arriving in the area late in the morning/afternoon unnecessarily, and to obey the police officers' instructions.
Changes in traffic arrangements - streets in Jerusalem will be blocked
Starting in the morning (around 9:00 a.m.) until early afternoon, the following roads will be closed alternately to vehicular traffic, depending on the progress of the funeral procession.

All roads leading to Shabbat Square in Jerusalem will be blocked.
Sderot Haim Bar-Lev Street will be blocked along its entire length in both directions from the national headquarters to the IDF Square and all the roads leading to it. Also, the streets where the funeral procession will move will be blocked alternately: Nabiim, Nablus Square, Sultan Suleiman, Rockefeller through Jericho to the Mount of Olives.
The roads will be opened for traffic according to the progress of the funeral journey and there may be changes in the time of the blockades according to the progress of the funeral journey.

In view of the expected arrival of thousands who wish to participate in the funeral procession, one must be patient, avoid urgency and emergency situations.
