“When I heard the word village, I imagined something more modest.
There, it is gigantic!
“Amazed André, 67, resident of the Batignolles district in Paris.
Like him, around thirty people put on sneakers and caps this Saturday to discover the future Olympic village under construction around the Seine.
This new district will spread over 52 hectares, straddling three municipalities, Saint-Ouen, Saint-Denis and L'Île-Saint-Denis (Seine-Saint-Denis), and will be able to accommodate the 14,000 athletes who will arrive with their staff, in the summer of 2024, for the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games.
