Russia has imposed sanctions on 32 New Zealanders in response to the anti-Russian sanctions imposed by the New Zealand government.
"In response to the New Zealand government's sanctions imposed on an increasing number of Russian citizens, officials and members of their families, 32 New Zealanders have been included in the blacklist prohibited from entering Russian territory, including employees of the armed forces and municipalities, journalists and people," TASS news agency quoted the Russian Foreign Ministry as saying in a statement today. They have an anti-Russian agenda.”
The statement indicated that the list includes Deputy National Navy Commander Shane Arndale, Chief Operating Officer of the Navy Garen Golding, Deputy Commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces Rose King and others, in addition to New Zealand Deputy Defense Minister Mike Yadley, and the mayors of Christchurch, Wellington, Auckland, Dunedin and Nelson, as well as media representatives and representatives of anti-Russian media. The decision made the entry of these persons into the Russian territory prohibited indefinitely.
