The Citadel and Valley Festival concludes with a concert at Al-Hosn Castle

The Citadel and Wadi Festival landed in Qal'at al-Hosn today, to conclude its activities with a concert by the artist Imad Ramal, which was attended by a large audience and a number of wounded Syrian Arab Army, during which he presented a group of patriotic, folk and heritage songs.

The closing ceremony included honoring 17 people who supported the festival from commercial activities, businessmen and expatriates, most of whom are from the people of the valley, in addition to a distinguished visual presentation on the walls of the Citadel of Al-Hosn by Bassam Hamidi, in which he spoke about the history of Homs and its most important leaders and great creators.

In his speech at the opening of the ceremony, the head of the preparatory committee for the festival, Elias Khoury, said that the Citadel and Wadi Festival continues in our hearts with the presence of the people of Wadi Nadari who yearn for joy and giving, noting the efforts made to establish the festival and its success with all its components.

In a statement to SANA's reporter, the festival director Hammam Ghaly referred to the great efforts that were made to organize the festival and provide logistical support for it, noting that despite the difficult economic conditions, the festival was held and its activities were varied and attractive to large numbers of attendees.

A member of the People’s Assembly, Hazar al-Daqqas, stressed the importance of the festival, which has become an important cultural and artistic identity for the governorate and for the Wadi al-Nadari region, as it enhances culture and belonging to future generations, as well as an opportunity for expatriates and investors to meet to attract them and participate in the reconstruction of Syria.

In turn, the Director of the Castle of the Fort, Engineer Hazem Hanna, said, "The conclusion of the activities of the Citadel and Valley Festival in the castle square has great significance and importance because it coincides with the celebration of the Army Day on the first of August, because these heroes liberated the castle to remain steadfast and steadfast in the face of all terrorism, pointing to the diversity of activities that he witnessed. The festival, which contributed to the revitalization of tourism, especially that the valley area is one of the most important Syrian tourist areas.”

Alaa Asaad from the orchestra of the Homs Culture Directorate indicated that 14 young men and women from the orchestra participated in the closing ceremony, and they performed patriotic songs, folklore and traditional songs from the villages of Wadi Al-Nadari.

The closing ceremony was attended by the Governor of Homs, Namir Makhlouf, the Secretary of the Homs branch of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, Omar Houriya, Homs Police Chief, Brigadier General Ahmed Farhan, a number of members of the People's Assembly, heads of popular organizations, professional syndicates and clerics.

It is noteworthy that the festival was launched on the fifteenth of this month and included sports, tourism, cultural and artistic activities.
