The wells of the town of Maaraba returned to work and pumped water to the homes of citizens after the General Corporation for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Rural Damascus, in coordination with the local council, repaired and maintained the pumps of three wells that had been stopped for about 15 days in the areas of the eastern neighborhood, Al-Maqla’ and Qasioun.
The head of the local council in the town, Ahmed Othman, said in a statement to SANA reporter that after communicating with the governorate, the Water Corporation was instructed to install pumps for wells at maximum speed to secure drinking water for citizens in the mentioned neighborhoods, and pumping operations were started immediately after repair.
