This evening, the theatrical performance (The Sorcerer's Village) opened in the hall of the Arab Cultural Center in Tartous, which is part of the activities launched by the Ministry of Culture as part of the national campaign to introduce the Child Rights Law.

Director of Culture Kamal Badran said in a statement to reporters that the cultural centers in Tartous governorate are hosting over two days of cultural awareness activities on the occasion of the launch of the national campaign to introduce the Child Rights Law.

In turn, the head of the Arab Cultural Center in the city, Mona Asaad, pointed out that one of the most important objectives of the celebration is to introduce children's rights, to provide them with moral and intellectual support, and to hone their skills.

In turn, the official of Nagham Center and the Registry of Baha Muhanna explained that the celebration is characterized by artistic activities presented by the children and adolescents of the center, including the theatrical show (The Wizard’s Village), which falls under the comic and awareness artwork to show the image of logic and reason, in addition to presenting shadow shows for the first time after its inclusion on the list of non-heritage. materialistic.

The director of the work, Hassan Nasr, stated that the idea of ​​the work lies mainly in the child’s right to act, not necessarily on the stage, but rather to represent a character he loves and develop his talent in this field, pointing out that the participants are children and young adults who have the talent of acting and have previous participations and more than one theatrical work.

The Festival Square on the Corniche also hosted a variety of literary and artistic activities this evening, which included intellectual and sports competitions, drawing on children's faces, shadow performances, with a purposeful collective painting entitled (Children's Rights), and an artistic concert for the life skills team, in which songs for the homeland and childhood were presented with the training and supervision of the artist Ghayath Kaber. .
