It has been five years since Bachir, a Lebanese ice cream parlor since 1936, opened its doors in Paris.
Five years since summer, Parisians and tourists agree to queue for several minutes, up to half an hour, to taste the house specialty: achta ice cream, or gum arabic, coated in crushed pistachios.
In this summer marked by episodes of intense heat, its success is undeniable.
