An 11-year-old was seriously injured in a fire in Netanya, a 42-year-old was evacuated in moderate condition (Walla system!)
An 11-year-old boy was seriously injured today (Monday) in a fire that broke out in a house on Rabbi Elimelech Neufeld Street in Netanya.
The MDA team that arrived at the scene evacuated him to Sheba Tel Hashomer Hospital while he was sedated and on ventilators, and suffering from burns on all parts of his body. The investigation of the incident indicates that the fire apparently broke out due to a bicycle battery that was being charged and caught fire.
Six other people were injured in the incident, including a 42-year-old man who was evacuated in critical condition moderate to the hospital after suffering from smoke inhalation. "We arrived in large forces and joined the fire brigade that were operating on the scene and rescued an 11-year-old boy who suffered from burns on his body," said paramedic Rafi Sheva.
"We gave him medical treatment that included anesthesia and ventilation and evacuated him when he was in a serious condition. Other injured people who were outside the scene suffered from smoke inhalation and were treated by the large MDA teams and were taken to Laniado Hospital."
