Al-Baath University wins three awards at the International Forum Hussein Bouziane for University Theater in Tunisia

The University Theater Troupe of the National Union of Syrian Students from Al-Baath University in Homs won three awards out of seven, best director, best actor and second best actress for its theatrical performance “Objects of Light” on the stage of the House of Culture in Ibn Rachiqa in Tunisia during the International Forum Hussein Bouziane for University Theater .

The president of the university, Dr. Abdul Basit Al-Khatib, explained to SANA reporter that the university is proud of its creative youth who prove always and in all forums that they are the most capable, most worthy and distinguished in all scientific, literary and artistic disciplines, indicating that they reflect the civilized face of the Syrian society and its universities, which are beacons of science, knowledge, arts and culture in all its forms.

The show, directed by Hussein Al-Nasser, dealt with paintings from the Syrian reality in general and issues related to the human manifestations of the events in Syria, in addition to some remarkable scenes in terms of performance and content, which won the admiration of the Tunisian audience who attended.

It is noteworthy that the festival was held on the twenty-sixth of last month, with the participation of several Arab countries, which in addition to Syria are Tunisia - Algeria - Oman - Libya - Palestine - Morocco.
