An important traffic hub in Holzkirchen has been standing still since Monday morning (1 August).
The Oskar-von-Miller-Platz is closed for four weeks due to a construction site by the municipal works.
Holzkirchen
– Since Monday (August 1st) anyone who wants to drive through Holzkirchen will very quickly find themselves in front of site fences and excavators: Oskar-von-Miller-Platz, a central hub in and out of Föching and Otterfing, is complete for four weeks closed because the Holzkirchen municipal works lay a power line across the square.
The cable is routed from Baumgartenstrasse in the direction of Rosenheimer Strasse in order to connect the new buildings that have been built there (next to the cemetery).
Traffic will be diverted over a large area via the Nordspange (MB 9), the corresponding routes are signposted.
Originally, the district office had also pointed out alternative routes through the town, but these inner-town bypasses are now not signposted.
Pedestrians and cyclists can pass through the construction site, according to the municipal works.
As its managing director Albert Götz announced, depending on the progress of construction, partial connections should also be released for car traffic;
Steel plates then bridge the trench.
According to Götz, however, this will be decided at short notice and only be possible temporarily.
In principle, however, motorists must assume a full closure and, according to Götz, should refrain from risking the through road on the off chance.
The closure is necessary because a power line that previously came from Baumgartenstrasse and turned towards Münchner Strasse had to be drawn across the square.
According to Götz, it is a main line (20,000 volts medium voltage).
In particular, the new buildings that have recently been built between Rosenheimer Strasse and the cemetery are being developed.
The municipal utilities set up a new transformer house there, which is now to be threaded into the main ring line.
The construction site runs almost the whole month.
Traffic on Oskar-von-Miller-Platz should be flowing again by Sunday, August 28 at the latest.
