Within the framework of the family fish farms project, the Directorate of Agriculture in the Damascus Countryside Governorate distributed
In coordination with the Rural Development Department and the General Authority for Fisheries and Aquaculture, today, fingerlings are fish for many breeders in different areas of the governorate.
Agriculture Director Irfan Ziadeh said in a statement to SANA reporter that these grants included the distribution of fingerlings of carp to about 150 farmers who own small ponds to collect water.
Ziadeh considered that these grants contribute to providing balanced food for rural families and compensating for the shortfall that occurred to them as a result of the economic situation and high prices, and to achieve additional economic income for them in the event of expansion.
Ziada pointed out that a practical exercise was carried out by the concerned parties in one of the breeders' ponds on the method of breeding, and all the farmers' questions were answered.
